It is of utmost importance that you file your Nevada IFTA tax return before the due deadlines as late filing may result in a penalty of $50 or 10% of the net tax liability. Renewal applications for existing IFTA accounts can be completed in person or by mail. Here, we explain the Nevada IFTA application process in detail:
January, February, March: April 30
April, May, June: July 31
July, August, September: October 31
October, November, December: January 31
Factors such as total miles, total gallons, miles by jurisdiction, and gallons by jurisdiction need to be considered when filing your state fuel tax.
IFTA accounts will only be closed in good standing once all returns have been filed in addition to paying any balance due on the account.
Anyone who doesn’t register a vehicle on time must pay a $6.00 a month registration late fee.
